In one of the most important moments in Brazil's history, jurists, intellectuals and professionals from the most diverse areas of knowledge held an act in August 2022 for democracy and the democratic rule of law in the face of threats of a coup by then-president Jair Bolsonaro, who was seeking re-election. The event was held at the historic Faculty of Law of the University of São Paulo, in Largo de São Francisco, in the center of São Paulo, with a massive presence of the press and thousands of people.
