Suamy Beydoun is a Brazilian photojournalist born in Manaus, in the heart of the Amazon. Currently based between São Paulo and his hometown, he focuses exclusively on news coverage of stories of national and international relevance.
With a degree in Radio and Television and a post-graduate degree in Photography, he began his career as an image director before transitioning to photojournalism in 2013.
Suamy has covered significant events in Brazil, including the COVID-19 pandemic, the political turmoil surrounding President Lula's imprisonment, the rise of the far right, and the severe drought in the Amazon, among others.
He has collaborated with major international agencies such as Reuters, the Associated Press, Agence France-Presse, and DPA, as well as UNICEF and Brazilian media outlets like Metrópoles, Revista Cenarium, and AGIF.
