Dependent on the Rio Negro, Davi's Marina is an important point of entry and exit for boats located in the Ponta Negra neighborhood, on the west side of the city of Manaus, and it is still far from normal, even though the level of the Rio Negro has risen for several days in a row until this Friday's (25/10/2024) -4cm - repiquette (a phenomenon that occurs when the river drops in level after several days of rising).

This year, 2024, the Rio Negro suffered the longest drought in its 121-year history, reaching 12.11 meters, 59cm below the 2023 record of 12.70 meters, a direct consequence of climate change due to factors such as deforestation and fires in the Amazon region.
